Mare care for mares at the facility for breeding:

Includes grass hay twice daily, fresh water every day

Feed/grain/supplements as instructed and provided by owner

Foals with mares will be kept together at all times.

Daily mare care $ 18.00

Foals at mares side—additional $ 4.00 per day

Mares at the facility for 30 days or more for breeding may opt to pay monthly boarding fees plus a $ 100.00 breeding handling fee.

For foals at mares side will be additional $ 100.00 monthly fee.

JBC Ranch offers two safe foaling stalls. A surveillance camera with sound is set up for 24 hr monitoring. Runs are open for daytime use and are lined with kick boards to prevent foal legs from getting caught or rolling under. Two veterinarians are within a few miles of facility and, unless otherwise instructed by owner, veterinarian will be called upon as soon as labor begins. Mare is cleaned and tail wrapped every evening starting within a week of due date. Owner will be contacted directly upon mare going into labor. Mare will be monitored during labor and birth and assisted if at any time needed.

Foal will be cared for after birth. Imprinting available.

Includes hay three times daily, feed/grain/supplements fed as instructed provided by owner, straw bedding and fresh water daily.

Weekly rate $ 150.00

Imprinting $ 120.00 first three days

Includes grass hay twice daily and 4 cups Adult horse chow.
